Liverpool on the lookout for Rodrygo to replace Mohamed Salah

Liverpool

Liverpool is reportedly showing interest in Real Madrid’s attacker, Rodrygo. Since, they consider him an “ideal” replacement for Mohamed Salah, who is a target for Al-Ittihad.

Liverpool’s primary focus during the summer transfer window was to revamp their midfield. They made significant investments, spending around £150 million to secure the signings of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo, and Ryan Gravenberch.

In addition to their midfield acquisitions, Liverpool had a link with various attackers. Partly due to reports connecting Mohamed Salah with a potential move to the Saudi Pro League.

Al-Ittihad submitted a £150 million bid for Egypt international Mohamed Salah before the summer transfer window closed. However, Liverpool promptly rejected this offer.

Liverpool desperate for Rodrygo even if they lose Salah

Despite not making an improved bid for Mohamed Salah in the summer, it is anticipated that the Middle East club will make another attempt to sign the Liverpool star either in January or during the next summer transfer window.

Liverpool is likely to face a substantial investment when they seek to replace Mohamed Salah. And Real Madrid’s Rodrygo emerged as a potential target for the club.

Rodrygo, who is 22 years old, has been a starter in all five of Real Madrid’s La Liga matches this season. However, Spanish outlet Fichajes reports that the club would be open to listening to offers for him. Particularly in light of the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappe next year.

In response to the possibility of Mohamed Salah departing for Saudi Arabia, Liverpool has reportedly joined a list of clubs interested in the Brazilian winger Rodrygo, according to reports.

Liverpool’s leadership views Rodrygo as an “ideal” solution to their potential need for a replacement. And Real Madrid would reportedly be willing to let him go. Provided that the bids for the Brazilian winger exceed the 100 million euro mark.
