Manchester United make their first contact with Denis Zakaria. The Red Devils have reportedly made initial contacts with the Borussia Monchengladbach Midfielder over a move to England. The Premier League outfit has opened talks with Zakaria for a potential Transfer move to Old Trafford in 2022. Alongside Manchester City, United are also in the race to land the 24-year-old into their Team.

The Swiss International has been a key figure for his club this season in the Bundesliga. He has appeared 10 times for Monchengladbach this term with 2 Goals and 1 Assist to his name. Meanwhile, Zakaria will become a Free agent next summer as his contract with the club is due to expire next June.

There is no Agreement between Zakaria and Monchengladbach over a new contract as of now. It appears likely that the Swiss will be seeking a move away from Borussia Park at the end of his contract. Manchester United have been struggling Defensively this season as they have dropped a lot of points from winning situations. Despite having Fred as a holding Midfielder, United are still lacking quality in that particular position.

Fred’s performances are not as impressive as that of United’s Level in the Top-flight. Zakaria, who is a defensive-minded midfielder with a Fierce approach and is also Defensively sound. However, Manchester United signed Donny Van de Beek a few seasons ago who is also a promising Midfielder. But he has mostly found himself on the bench since arriving from Ajax.

CAN MANCHESTER UNITED SIGN DENIS ZAKARIA DESPITE INTERESTS FROM TOP EUROPEAN CLUBS?

According to Blick, Manchester United has contacted the midfielder to express their interest. They can sign him on a Free next summer when his contract expires, but the Red Devils will face stiff competition from other clubs as well. Therefore, to avoid any competition they will reportedly have to offer him a €10-12million (£8.4m-£10m) signing on bonus. Borussia Monchengladbach will let him move this January if the correct offer arrives.

However, several other clubs, including Juventus, Manchester City and Arsenal, are also believed to be keen to sign the Swiss upon the expiration of his Monchengladbach deal.

Manchester United have sacked Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer as their Head Coach and are currently in the 8th Spot in the Premier League Table. The Red Devils have prepared a list of names who could succeed the Norwegian as the Manager.

Zakaria has scored 11 times and registered eight assists in 138 appearances for his current club since making the move from Young Boys in July 2017.
