Manchester United offered Edin Dzeko by AS Roma

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Manchester United have reportedly been offered Edin Dzeko by AS Roma in the January Transfer Window.

Edin Dzeko joined Roma in the year 2015. Since then he has racked up 85 goals in 187 appearances for the Italian giants. His eye for goal and dynamism which he shows on the pitch has helped him score 226 goals throughout his career.

However, it seems that his time in Roma may have come to an end as he was in the middle of a fallout with his current coach Paulo Fonseca.

Dzeko has been axed by the current coach. He didn’t feature in Roma’s recent match where they beat SPAL. The situation he is in has fueled speculations that he might leave the club this transfer window.

MANCHESTER UNITED EXPRESSED THEIR INTEREST IN DZEKO

According to THE Sun Manchester United have been given a chance to sign Dzeko.

United who are currently 2nd in Premier League would look to sign another striker as they would need an additional forward who would be a back up option to Edinson Cavani.

With Odion Ighalo departing the club, the Premier League giants are keen on landing another striker. And the 34-year-old Bosnian would be a good option for them.

Roma are open to the idea of selling their striker as they are looking at replacing him by signing Olivier Giroud.

The French World Cup winner has scored 9 goals in 17 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions. And he would be a perfect replacement for the departing Bosnian.

A move to United looks possible as his current club is open to the idea of parting ways with their talisman.
