Does Manchester United want to acquire the services of Declan Rice?

Manchester United are looking to acquire the services of Declan Rice during the summer transfer window of 2022. The Red Devils have been struggling in the middle of the pitch this season. Their Defensive Midfield woes have been pretty evident since the season began. Despite a flying start to the season, Manchester United have dramatically fallen behind in the race to win the Premier League.

The Red Devils are looking at Declan Rice as a potential signing in the summers. Rice has been on the news for his sensational performances in the PL as well as in the Europa League. Declan Rice is a key member for David Moyes’ side, who are just a point below 4th place Arsenal. West Ham United are currently sitting 5th in PL table with 35 points and they will hope to finish in the Top 4 to secure a place in the UEFA Champions League.

The 22-year-old’s addition into the Manchester United Squad will somehow re-ignite the team. The only thing that United are lacking at the moment is a Hardworking Central Defensive Midfielder. The Red Devils need someone like Rice, who can link the Defense and the Attackers with his positioning and pinpoint passes.

Ralf Rangnick has given the Green light for Manchester United to push on their pursuit of £100m-rated Declan Rice

The 13-time Premier League Champions made enquiries about several Defensive Midfielders. The List includes the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Dennis Zakaria, Christopher Nkunku and now Declan Rice. Meanwhile, United are desperate to make the England international as the Centre-piece of their side for the upcoming seasons. Ralf Ragnick has also approved and United prepared to offer £100m for his services.

The Red Devils spent big last summer and they want to repeat it at the end of this season. By the summers, they will be hoping to have a new permanent manager installed with Rangnick moving into a consultancy role. United are without a top-class, specialist holding midfielder, with Nemanja Matic not performing the way he used to. Fred’s performances are also not as impressive as that of United’s Level in the Top-flight.

Rice has now been identified as the ideal solution to their issues in the Middle of the park. There were initially fears around United that West Ham’s excellent form this season could block a potential transfer, with Rice likely to remain in east London if the Hammers get Champions League football. However, if West Ham fails to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League this season, Declan Rice could move to a new club.
