Marco Asensio a hat-trick hero for Real Madrid against Mallorca

Marco Asensio scores his first hat-trick for Real Madrid as the Los Blancos thrashed RCD Mallorca by a 6-1 scoreline. Carlo Ancelotti had given Asensio his first starting 11 start this season seeing a busy week ahead. And Asensio has grabbed the opportunity greatly after scoring a hat-trick against his boyhood club Mallorca. While he has also proven to Ancelotti that he is capable of starting any game rather than sitting on the substitute bench.

Starting of the game Real Madrid opened the scoring within three minutes after a miss pass at the Mallorca half. Karim Benzema collected the ball and ran towards the goal, and scored by placing nicely on the left-hand side. And Mallorca had to sit back and defend due to early conceding.

Game in the 24th minute Rodrygo was unleashed in the left side and had a shot in the goal but was saved by the goalkeeper. However, it was not a good save from the goalkeeper as Marco Asensio got the ball and scored his first goal. But Mallorca pulled one back just after one minute after a quick center and goal from Lee Kang-in.

However, the two-goal lead was restored by Marco Asensio as he scored his brace. Eder Militao made a great through ball to Benzema and he passed it to Asensio for scoring a goal. Just after few minutes, Asensio had a chance to complete his hat-trick but a goal-line block didn’t let it happen.

Coming into the second half a goal by Benzema was disallowed as VAR saw him pushing a defender before scoring. But just after some minutes, Benzema assisted Asensio, with the Spaniard scoring his first hat-trick for Real Madrid. Asensio taking the ball into his left foot fired a shot into the low left corner from outside the box. Following which Asensio helped Real Madrid lead by 4 goals. The last two goals were scored by Karim Benzema in the 78th minute and Isco in the 84th minute. Following Madrid finished the game with a 6-1  scoreline with Marco Asensio being the man-of-the-match.
