More players to return to Arsenal for pre-season

Arsenal

As the Euros round of 16 wraps up, more players are now available as Arsenal looks to start its pre-season tour.

Arsenal is watching the 2024 Euros closely as the Round of 16 of the Championship ends. This means more nations have wrapped up their participation in the tournament as players return home. Although many still march forward with the likes of France, Germany, Spain, and especially England others are bound to return in time.

Within the next three weeks. Arsenal will fly across the Atlantic to the United States for the pre-season tour. Prior to that, many players will land at the Sobha Realty Training Centre to train as planned.

Meanwhile, some are already in Marbella training alongside Mikel Arteta in an early training camp. Martin Odegaard is going to join a group alongside Emile Smith Rowe, Fabio Vieira, Jurrien Timber, Ben White, and Eddie Nketiah.

Other players that will be able to join before the tour starts are those who were knocked out in the latest round of Euros. After France defeated Belgium 1-0 Leandro Trossard will begin his delayed summer break. On the other hand, William Saliba will go on to Quater Finals with France.

Furthermore, Switzerland gave the upset of the tournament by knocking out the defending champions Italy. This means Granit Xhaka will continue his Euro challenge. Meanwhile, Jorginho will start his own break before joining Arsenal.

Their elimination timings mean that the duo will be available by the time the Gunners leave for the States. Arsenal has added a third friendly which will take place only three days after they land. The match will commence at LA Galaxy’s ground in Los Angeles where the Gunners will take on their Premier League rivals Bournemouth.

Mikel Arteta will be looking for the positives in getting his players back early. Although the hopes for the national side ended for these players, an early start of the training is what Arteta and Arsenal will love. They will get more time before the new season commences in mid-August.

Regardless, many continue their National duty. These include the likes of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, Saka, Raya, and more. They continue their campaign in the Euros 2024. Meanwhile, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes are busy with their National side Brazil in Copa America.

This means that around seven players might miss the start of the tour altogether. Additionally, Jakub Kiwior will also be back for the tour following Poland’s elimination.
