All about Mumbai City FC

Mumbai City Football Club is a professional football team from India that plays in the Indian Super League (ISL), the top division of Indian football. The team is situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra. In the 2022–23 season, they once again captured the ISL League Winners Shield. They are also the first Indian team to triumph in a group-stage match of the AFC Champions League.

Mumbai became the first Indian team to win a match at the AFC Champions League group stage under Des Buckingham, who was hired as the team’s head coach prior to the 2021–22 Indian Super League season. They finished second in the group and narrowly missed qualifying for the next round.

Des guided Mumbai in the 2022–23 Indian Super League to the longest-ever unbeaten streak of 18 games, which helped Mumbai win the second shield three years after winning the league. Mumbai City has played 22 games and scored 56 goals moreover with 29 assists. Further, 6 clean sheets have been stored. Target shots totaling 153. Goalie has made 64 saves. They received 41 yellow cards, but none were red.

Unfortunately, there won’t be three tickets available for Indian clubs beginning with the 2024–25 season. Another cause in India losing a spot and its ACL standing is the underperformance of Indian clubs in Asian competitions.
