Nagelsmann sacked and Bayern ready to hire Tuchel as manager

Thomas Tuchel

Bayern Munich decided to dismiss Julian Nagelsmann and replace him with Thomas Tuchel as their new manager. This has come as a surprise to many fans and caused a stir in the footballing world. Bayern Munich reportedly identified Thomas Tuchel as the right man to lead the club. They were aware of interest from other clubs. This reportedly led to a sense of urgency and the immediate sacking of Julian Nagelsmann.

Before Bayern’s approach, Tuchel had been considering job offers from Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur. Bayern reportedly felt threatened by the possibility of Tuchel joining Real Madrid. Thus, leading them to quickly sign him up.

Real Madrid missed out on the opportunity to hire Thomas Tuchel as he has agreed to join Bayern Munich. However, they now have another option available to replace Carlo Ancelotti.

Nagelsmann to join Real Madrid after Ancelotti leaves?

Nagelsmann has expressed that coaching Real Madrid was a long-time dream of his, but the opportunity came at an inconvenient time.

“We had phone calls, but in the end the one who decided was me. I believed it was not the right step to go to Real Madrid. I was one of the candidates and the list was not very long. For me, that was important.”

“I had a good chat with Jose Angel Sanchez and we decided that it was not the right step at that time. We agreed that we could talk again in the future if Real Madrid needed a coach – and I was available.”

It is uncertain whether Nagelsmann will pursue the opportunity to coach Real Madrid again. There are other potential candidates like Mauricio Pochettino, Xabi Alonso, and Raul Gonzalez. During his time at Bayern Munich, Nagelsmann won 60 out of 84 games with just 10 losses, achieving an average of 2.3 points per game in the league.
