Naro Hari Shreshtha joins Gokulam Kerala FC

Two-time I-League champions Gokulam Kerela FC have secured the signing of 27-year-old young striker Naro Hari Shreshtha. The West Bengal-born striker joins the club on a two-year deal. He also represented his state in the Santosh Trophy.

Player Profile: Naro Hari Shreshtha:

Naro Hari Shreshtha started his football career for the Salgaocar U-18 team. Naro Hari also played in the Goa Professional League for Salgaocar FC. Later, he joined the I-League club DSK Shivajians.

For the Pune-based club, Naro Hari played three matches and won the DSK Cup. Later, he played for clubs like Mohun Bagan, Peerless FC, Fateh Hyderabad FC, FC Bengaluru United, and Calcutta Customs. Naro Hari won the 2021–22 Bangalore Super Division title with FC Bengaluru United.

Recently, he was playing for Ahmedabad-based club ARA FC. Playing for ARA FC, Naro Hari scored six goals in eight matches.

Naro Hari Shreshtha also represented his state team in the 36th National Games of India. He also scored a brilliant hat trick against Kerala at the National Games final and helped his team to clinch the gold medal.

Basically, Naro Hari Shreshtha plays as a striker but can also operate as a right winger and an attacking midfielder.

Squad Analysis: Gokulam Kerala FC:

Gokulam Kerala FC has also brought in 49-year-old Spanish manager Domingo Oramas as their head coach. The Kerala-based I-League club has also signed Spanish attacking midfielder Nili Perdomo and Spanish striker Alex Sanchez for the upcoming season.

Besides, Gokulam Kerala has completed the signing of 19-year-old young Indian striker Rahul Raju from Bengaluru II and 28-year-old goalkeeper Zothanmawia from Mohammedan SC. More importantly, Gokulam Kerala FC is all set to sign ISL-experienced Spanish defensive midfielder Edu Bedia ahead of the upcoming season.

The Malabarians are now playing in the ongoing Durand Cup. The 2019 Durand Cup winner, Gokulam Kerala FC, is now at the top of group C after winning the first two matches against IAFT and Kerala Blasters.
