Newcastle United: Paulo Dybala linked with a move to the Magpies

Juventus forward

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in Juventus forward Paulo Dybala. As per the report by transfer journalist Alfredo Pedulla.

The 28-year-old is set to leave the Bianconeri at the end of this season. Following the Serie A giants’ decision not to offer a new contract to the Argentine forward. His current contract will expire at the end of this season. And he will leave the Allianz Stadium for free.

The versatile striker has struggled with injuries in recent seasons. And he failed to showcase his best. Therefore, despite verbally agreeing upon a contract extension with the player. The record Serie A champions backtracked from extending the forward’s deal.

According to the report, Newcastle United are weighing up a move for Paulo Dybala this summer. However, Tottenham Hotspur, Atletico Madrid, and Barcelona are also in the race to sign the Argentine forward.

The report further claims that Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta brought the 28-year-old to the Bianconeri. The Nerazzurri CEO wants to bring Dybala this time around to the Giuseppe Meazza.

Will Newcastle United be able to sign Paulo Dybala?

Signing Paulo Dybala would be a great addition to the Newcastle United squad. However, the Magpies will struggle to persuade the Argentine forward to join them. Given Eddie Howe’s side might struggle to match his ambitions in the recent future.

The 28-year-old will certainly want to play for a club that will be able to offer him Champions League football. Therefore, Newcastle might not be his preferred destination for next season.

The Magpies might be able to offer him a lucrative contract. In order to lure the Argentine forward into joining. However, it might not be a good idea. Given they should not sign a player who is only willing to join due to a big salary package.

So, it will be interesting to see whether Paulo Dybala joins Newcastle United or not. Inter Milan is seemingly the likeliest destination for the 28-year-old. However, the scenario might change over the summer transfer window.
