Martin Odegaard has a big decision to make – to remain at Arsenal or a potential move back to Real Madrid. The latter club is ready to include him as a regular whereas they were going to bench him before this move.

Odegaard has been a crucial player for the Gunners although his loan period ends on June 30 this year. On the other side, Los Blancos are in need of a brilliant playmaker and is impressed by his loan stint.

The Norwegian midfielder has to make a tough decision whether to impress in the La Liga or in the more popular, Premier League.

Odegaard shining for Arsenal

Martin Odegaard is en route to complete his fourth loan stint away from Real Madrid at Arsenal. The London club needed a midfield general to replace Mesut Ozil, who moved away to Fenerbahce.

However, as compared to his previous loan spells at SC Heerenveen, Vitesse, and Real Sociedad, he has improved considerably and this has ignited the interests of the London club to keep him at the club.

However, he has just played 11 matches in the Premier League scoring a mere two goals. Thus, he is in need for more playing time. However, Mikel Arteta feels that the player has adapted well to these tough conditions.

“I think everybody has been really impressed with how quickly he has adapted. Professionally, how he is and how willing he has been since day one to try to engage with everybody at Colney and then also with the performances that he’s putting in as well.” – Mikel Arteta on Martin Odegaard

The 22-year-old midfielder even scored an equalizer in the thrilling 2-1 win in the North London derby. His teammate, Mohamed Elneny likes the way Odegaard leads and coaches his teammates outside of the dressing room as well.

“He talks all the time about the game and what we are going to do. He has the personality to be a captain.” – Mohamed Elneny on teammate Martin Odegaard.

However, it would be interesting if the Galacticos allow a transfer to the English capital as they have promised the youngster more playing time. Real Madrid travel to Celta Vigo in their next match in the La Liga.
