Official : Javi Siverio joins Hyderabad FC

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Javi Siverio has joined Hyderabad FC from the Spanish side Las Palmas B for a season-long deal. The 23-year-old forward becomes the fourth overseas player after Bartholomew Ogbeche, Juanan and Edu Garcia.

The Spaniard has played under current HFC head coach Manolo Marquez during the 2016-17 season during his stint at the youth squad of Las Palmas. However, this signing offers a huge opportunity for his goalscoring skills and better development of young Indian players in the Indian Super League club.

Hyderabad have now begun preparations for their upcoming Durand Cup campaign. After performing superbly in the transfer window, the Southerners definitely look like title contenders for the next season.

Javi Siverio – yet another exciting addition for Hyderabad FC

Javi Siverio made it to the Las Palmas Under-19 team in 2015-16. Since then, he has made 16 appearances for them scoring three goals. Then, after playing under the current HFC head coach for Las Palmas C, he moved to Racing Santander B in 2018.

However, a year later, he made it to the senior team for Santander during the 2020-21 campaign. He made 12 appearances for them scoring two goals. However, his best performance was for Racing Santander II in the 2018-19 season scoring 16 goals in just 22 appearances. He was also a part of the senior team that achieved promotion from Segunda B to Segunda A.

The 6-feet tall centre-forward is keen on making his debut in the ISL next season. After completing the formalities, he added about his ambitions for the club,

“Last season, the team was very close to making it into the top-4 and I am sure we will be aiming for a higher finish in the upcoming campaign.”

Whereas, coach Manolo is also excited for the reunion and working alongside the youngster. The gaffer says,

“He is a natural finisher, is very clever inside the box and is also strong in the air. He is only 23 and will join Hyderabad to try and show us his qualities.”
