AC Milan has endured a mixed season in Serie A, sitting in fifth place and fighting for a top-four finish. While the team has been solid defensively, the attack has been a Only Giroud, scoring just 51 goals in 34 games.

It’s no secret that Milan needs to overhaul their attack if they want to challenge for the title next season. With the summer transfer window fast approaching, there are several players who could be on their way out of the San Siro, while others will be brought in to add much-needed firepower.

One player who is certain to stay at the club is Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman joined Milan from Chelsea last summer and has had a solid season, scoring 11 goals in 26 appearances. He has proved to be a reliable option up front and has impressed with his link-up play and ability to hold the ball up.

However, the same cannot be for the rest of Milan’s forwards. The likes of Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao have failed to consistently deliver, while Mario Mandzukic has struggled with injuries since joining the club in January.

Only Giroud will stay in milan

Milan is expect to bring in at least one new striker this summer, with several names linked with a move to the San Siro. One player who has been heavily linked with a move to Milan is Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian striker has been in sensational form this season, scoring 21 goals in 33 games, and would be a significant upgrade on Milan’s current options.

Another player who has been linked with a move to Milan is Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic. The Serbian forward has struggled to make an impact at the Bernabeu since joining from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2019 and could be available for a cut-price fee this summer. Jovic would add a different dimension to Milan’s attack with his physicality and aerial ability.

Milan is also reportedly interest in signing PSV’s Donyell Malen. The Dutch forward has been in fine form this season, scoring 17 goals in 27 games, and would add pace and directness to Milan’s attack.
