Manchester City young talent, Oscar Bobb from Norway, has needed to bide his time since breaking into the first team. Although he hasn’t been prominently featured thus far, his evident quality and immense demonstrations are apparent.

The current season has served as a valuable learning experience for the young player. Since his promotion from the City academy system, Bobb has featured in 11 matches. Thus, scoring one goal and providing an assist. His goal in the UEFA Champions League against Red Star Belgrade drew parallels to David Silva, showcasing his skill. Additionally, his assist for Nathan Ake to score City’s sixth goal in a 6-1 victory over Bournemouth further highlighted his quality.

In his brief stints on the field, Bobb’s undeniable technical prowess is conspicuous. It is apparent that in the not-too-distant future, Bobb could evolve into a pivotal player for the world champions. The Norwegian wonderkid Bobb might also find himself playing a significant role in the latter part of the season for Pep Guardiola’s team.

Manchester City might rely on Oscar Bobb very often

With the fixture list becoming congested and the season entering its crucial phase, Bobb might have the opportunity to showcase his talent. Pep Guardiola will require all forms of support as City aim to defend their treble. Thus, it could be during this period that Oscar Bobb gets his chance to outclass everyone.

In anticipation of City’s match against Sheffield United, Guardiola expressed his satisfaction with Bobb’s development. And thus acknowledged that the young talent will be a valuable asset for the team in the ongoing season.

Guardiola said: “What I said about Oscar for many times, always when he plays he plays at a high level. I see him in the training sessions every day. His impact is really good, his work ethic, for many, many things, we’re really, really pleased in Oscar. It’s not a player who comes up, comes down from the Academy, he’s already a reality for us and in certain moments he’s going to help us.”
