Szoboszlai and Mac Allister have quickly adapted to the team’s style of play and contributed effectively. Alexis Mac Allister was first midfielder to be signed this transfer window, followed by Dominik, Wataru Endo and finally Ryan Gravenberch.

Paul Merson praised Szoboszlai & Mac Allister

The sky sports Football pundit Paul Merson wrote in his sportskeeda column about Szoboszlai & Mac Allister:

“Dominik Szoboszlai has come in and blown people away with his performances; but Alexis Mac Allister is a top player too”.

He further wrote

“He’s playing as a No. 6 which isn’t really his usual position; but Liverpool are winning games right now, so it shouldn’t matter, at least until they sign a specialist defensive midfielder.”

Dominick reaction on being compared to Steven Gerrard

On being compared to PL legend Steven Gerrard, Dominick said:

“I want to do it my own way but of course it feels good if they say I am the new Steven Gerrard. It’s nice to have the number eight shirt because really great players played in it. But I just want to be myself and if I can get that big in this club like he was I’ll be really happy.”

Duo’s performance so far

Jurgen Klopp secured the services of Mac Allister for £35million from Brighton and Szoboszlai for £60m from RB Leipzig. Mac Allister signed for Premier League club Liverpool on a five-year contract. He is gradually adapting to Jurgen Klopp’s methods at Anfield following the summer move and has one assist in 12 appearances.

Szoboszlai plays as an attacking midfielder in the center, left, and right positions. He has created 21 chances in the Premier League so far this season. Szoboszlai made his competitive debut at Anfield, in a 3–1 victory against Bournemouth. He was widely praised for his performance and Liverpool fans voted to award him the Player of the Match award.
