Indian Super League (ISL) side Hyderabad FC completed the signing of Australian attacker Joe Knowles, the club announced on Saturday. The 27-year-old joins as the second new foreign overseas player for the Nizam’s ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
“It is a great honor to sign for this club,” said Knowles.
“Hyderabad FC have done unbelievably well in the four years as a club and I look forward to being a part of the history here, going forward,” he added.

Having started his career with Perth Glory, Knowles is regarded as one of the most exciting talents in the A-League. He made 15 appearances for Perth Glory before embarking on a move to Scotland, where he joined Largs Thistle in the West Region Premiership. Knowles made an impressive 14 appearances and found the back of the net eight times. He returned to Australia and had a few stints in the lower divisions. The Brisbane Roar recognised his talent and eventually offered him a contract, where made 21 appearances in the A-League.
Speaking to the Hyderabad FC faithful after the move, Knowles said,
“I am really looking forward to playing in front of all the Hyderabad fans and they can expect a fast direct attacking player that will do anything for his team to be successful.”

His linking up with the midfielders is an excellent skill which can help in the team’s attacking play. Altogether his combination of skills, Joe Knowles brings a balanced attacking presence to the Hyderabad FC team.
