About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

PSG host Lille in the Ligue 1 where the winner would be going to the top of the league with a three-point lead. Currently, as it stands, PSG sit 1st level on points with Lille but with a superior goal difference.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side is slowly picking up the pace after a bumpy start to their season. Now it looks like the club is looking once again to win all the competitions. They are also to face Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.

Pochettino’s side are obviously the favorites to win against Lille. They have previously defeated the same opposition by a margin of 3-0 in the French Cup. Additionally, this would be a competition of the top scorer of the league, Kylian Mbappe against the assist leader in the league, Jonathan Bamba!

Can Lille stop PSG from winning their 10th League title?

The Ligue 1 race is heating up as PSG, Lille, and Lyon leading the three-horse race for the title. This season has been way better than the previous few seasons. This season The Parisians couldn’t establish their dominance after a wonderful 2019-20 season.

It would be an almost impossible task for Les Dogues to create a miracle at the Parc des Princes. A key fact is that the leaders have lost both their last two home matches and this might be the inspiration for the visitors.

In the last 25 meetings between the two, PSG has won 14, with the visitors only winning four and rest seven matches ended as draws. Pochettino’s side were the team that ended the visitors’ unbeaten run of 12 matches.

Surprisingly, it would also be a match between the top scorer and top assister. However, Mbappe would be succeeding as he is in a scintillating form currently. A major boost is the return of Neymar Jr from injury. However, playmaker Marco Veratti would be missing this fixture due to injury.

The 2-1 home loss to Nimes changed Lille’s fortunes as they find themselves as 2nd in the league. It would be a tough match for the away side. Les Rouge et Bleu would be most likely winning their 10th Ligue 1 title and their fourth consecutive league title.
