PSG’s sporting director Leonardo has denied recent reports which suggested that PSG have offered Mbappe a new contract worth €50 million in wages per year. Kylian Mbappe has previously rejected three contract offers from PSG and has his heart set on a move to Madrid. However, recent reports have suggested that PSG are ready to give him 100 million in wages for two years in their final bid to extend Mbappe’s stay in Paris.

However, PSG’s president Leonardo has brandished these rumors as fake and refuted them. Leonardo refused to name a number however, he declared the stated numbers to be ridiculous.

Leonardo and PSG are trying their best to extend Mbappe’s contract.

“The last thing we will include in Mbappé’s contract will be the salary. We want to put Kylian in the best possible situation so that he can be the best player he can be.” – Leonardo

Any contract agreement between Mbappe and PSG is likely to beat all previous records and make Mbappe the highest-paid player in the history of football. However, Mbappe has rebuffed PSG’s attempts. Mbappe has made his desire to play for Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Fiorentino Perez also dreams of starting his new generation of Galacticos with the signing of Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe recently stated that he has his eyes on being PSG’s highest goal scorer as he trails Cavani’s record. His hunger to break that record is a potential sign of him wanting to extend with PSG beyond this season. Mbappe scored against Real Madrid in the Champions League tie and proved his credentials in front of his potential future employees.

If the past is anything to go by, Leonardo and PSG are resigned to losing Mbappe for free. A move to Madrid now looks inevitable.
