PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe is one of the best players in the world. Only 22, he surprised the world after agreeing to a new contract with Paris Saint Germain in the summer. Mbappe was set to join Real Madrid for a free deal. Los Blancos president Perez publicly announced his wish to sign the French international this summer. His last-minute attempt to sign the player from the Paris giants last summer was rejected. Yet this season, Mbappe took a u-turn to reject Real Madrid.
Reports from France suggest that under his new contract, Mbappe also has the luxury to dictate transfer signings and have a say in essential sporting matters of the club. French President Emmanuel Macron also convinced him to stay in France.
PSG forward Mbappe had a four-player transfer wishlist
Kylian Mbappe had prepared a list of four players that he wanted the PSG high officials to sign during the past summer transfer window. Marcus Rashford, a star for Manchester United, reportedly made the list of four players Kylian Mbappe gave to PSG officials this summer.
Mbappe asked PSG’s football director Luis Campos and his colleagues to sign a new striker that the Frenchman can play with, according to French news site RMC Sport.
According to reports, Mbappe named a shortlist of four candidates that included Rashford. The list also included former Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski who ultimately signed with Spanish La Liga team Barcelona. Considering that he was a free agent at the time, Ousmane Dembele was also thought to be on the list. But the French international later agreed to an extension with the Camp Nou club.
Gianluca Scamacca, an Italian striker who was playing for Sassuolo at the time, was the fourth name on the list. West Ham later in the transfer window signed Scamacca.
