Ralf Ragnick could help Manchester United sign Erling Haaland says Rene Meulensteen. Ralf Ragnick has a good relationship with Haaland and it could help Manchester United land the Norwegian at Old Trafford. Erling Haaland is on the radar for Elite European clubs since making his debut in the Champions League. The 21-year-old made his UCL debut for Austrian Outfit RB Salzburg before making a move to Borussia Dortmund.

Erling Haaland will have a release clause of €75 Million set by Dortmund next summer. Norway International is all set to receive offers from some of the biggest clubs in Europe. During the Summer Transfer window of 2021, Chelsea tried to acquire Halaand’s services but the Blues backed out from paying a whopping €175 Million for the 21-year-old. The Norwegian’s Agent Mino Raiola also had a demand of €40 Million for brokering a move.

Manchester United are very much alive in the race for the 21-year-old. Erling Haaland has scored impressive 71 goals and registered 19 assists in 70 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions. If the Red Devils sign Haaland next summer, they can pair him with Cristiano Ronaldo up-front as their two main Strikers. Any club in Europe with a strong Financial backup will not hesitate to sign Erling Haaland. The 21-year-old is undoubtedly one of the best Strikers in Bundesliga and all over Europe. He is an Instinctive Goal-scorer and his ability to sprint towards a through-pass being played at him in between the Defensive line is mouthwatering. Erling Haaland is definitely going to break a lot of records as he continues to move forward in his career.

Meanwhile, Manchester United announced Ralf Ragnick as the club’s interim manager for the remainder of the season. The German played a key role when Red Bull Salzburg bought Haaland from Molde in 2019. The 63-year-old is believed to have a close relationship with the forward’s family.

According to former Red Devils coach Meulensteen, Rangnick’s arrival at Old Trafford could help the Premier League giants secure the Norwegian’s signature.

“Football is about relationships. We all know that Haaland is a tremendous talent with an unbelievable goal-scoring record. He’s young, he’s direct, he’s quick, he’s strong. I think like a lot of fans I expected him to be at Man United already because of that relationship with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. They know each other but for whatever reason it hasn’t materialised.

Meulensteen told Stadium Astro

Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea are all eyeing a move for Erling Haaland. He has scored 14 times and registered four assists in 11 appearances for Dortmund this season.
