Ralf Rangnick has made contacts with Antonio Rudiger’s agent?

Wolves

Manchester United head coach Ralf Ragnick has made contact with Antonio Rudiger’s Agent. The Red Devils are reportedly lining up a move for Antonio Rudiger as Rangnick looks forward to strengthening the defensive line next season. United are currently living life under their new interim manager until the end of this season. Ralf Rangnick will step aside from the role the head coach during the summer of 2022, as he will take on a consultancy role at Old Trafford. He will have a direct say on the signing of new players.

Antonio Rudiger’s contract with Chelsea will expire at the end of this season. Meanwhile, the Blues have failed to reach an agreement with Rudiger for extending his stay at the club. The London outfit is keen on making Antonio stay at Stamford Bridge, as the Blues believe that he is still an influential figure in the team.

However, the Blues are currently having a difficult time due to injuries and covid concerns. Most of their important players are out due to long-term injuries and Thomas Tuchel will hope to bring reinforcements in January. The defending UEFA Champions League winners have only won 2 out of their 6 previous encounters in all competitions.

Antonio Rudiger is set to become a free agent next summer and Rangnick wants to capitalize on that situation. But there is tough competition waiting in order to sign the German center-back. Ralf Ragnick’s Manchester United have now joined Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain to compete for his signature in June 2022.

Rangnick’s strong ties with Antonio Rudiger’s agent might help United to secure a move for the German

According to Football Journalist Christian Falk, Ralf Rangnick has a strong relationship with Rudiger’s agent Sahr Senesie, who also happens to be his brother. Reports have also suggested that Senesie has given the green light to negotiate about a potential move.

According to the Independent, Sahr Senesie also sat down with the representatives of Real Madrid. Meetings between the two sides were fruitful, as an ‘informal agreement’ for Antonio Rudiger has been reached. Reports have also suggested that Tottenham Hotspur are also in the race for the 28-year-old. However, a move to the 13-times UEFA Champions League winners seems more likely for Antonio Rudiger.

Chelsea have been solid since Thomas Tuchel joined as their head coach. He gave Antonio Rudiger a fresh start at the club last season and the 28-year-old did not fail to capitalize on it. The Blues had an amazing defensive record last season and also won UEFA Champions League by defeating Manchester City in the final. Meanwhile, the Blues are one of the favorites to win the Premier League this season, alongside Liverpool and City.
