Ranjeet Pandre joins Punjab FC to bolster their attack

Recently promoted Indian Super League side Punjab FC have announced the signing of striker Ranjeet Pandre until the end of 2026. Punjab FC was promoted to the ISL after winning the I-League 2022-23 season. He will carry the no 9 for the club this season.

Ranjeet Pandre: Career

28-year-old Ranjeet, who was born in Chhattisgarh’s Rajnandgaon, in his youth played locally. Ranjeet also represented Maharashtra Football team in the Santosh trophy where he was their top-scorer. Ranjeet’s superb form and consistency earned him the best striker award for the MDFA Elite Division. Ranjeet Pandre used to play for United Bank of India in Mumbai before joining Chennai City FC in 2019. He also won the I-League trophy with Chennai City FC. Ranjeet scored one goal in 17 appearances for Chennai City FC. He also played prestigious competitions with Chennai City FC such as Durand Cup, Super Cup and the AFC Champions League.

In the last two season, he played for Kenkre FC. With Kenkre FC he scored seven goals in 43 appearances. Ranjeet Pandre was part of the club when it got promoted from I-League division 2 to I-League. In March 2023, Pandre moved abroad and joined Nepali Martyr’s Memorial A-Division League club Church Boys United. He was part of the team that clinched Simara Gold Cup in April.

At Punjab FC

He will carry the no 9 for the club this season. Ranjeet will play alongside the likes of foreigners such as Juan Mera and Luka Majcen. His signing with the club promises the team’s ambition to nurture young players at important positions.
