According to Marca, Manchester City forward Hayley Raso will join Real Madrid. It has been difficult for the Australian to play this season. Real Madrid head coach Alberto Toril has offered him a way out. The 28-year-old has started just one league game for Gareth Taylor’s side this season. His current contract expires in the summer. Real Madrid are now his likely destination.
Hayley Raso to Real Madrid?
According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid are planning to offer Raso a contract for the coming season. They aim to take their Liga F team to the next level. Having successfully signed Caroline Weir last summer, it would be City’s second player to move to the continent. Marca claims that talks have been done between the club and the player.
“Everything indicates that an agreement is close”
is what the reports speak of.
Having been capped 62 times by Australia, Raso will turn 29 next year and surely views this stage as a pivotal one with a home World Cup around the corner. While she plays regularly for Midtilda, she will surely be looking for more regular playing time after only 235 minutes this season.
Whether Real Madrid will allow her to do so earlier than the summer is unknown at this point.
