Real Madrid interested in Manchester United youngster Garnacho

With Alejandro Garnacho yet to sign a new contract at Manchester United, Real Madrid is keeping an eye on his situation. He is currently under a contract until 2024 at Old Trafford, with a 12-month extension option.

Garnacho is reported to earn just £7,000 per week and has only been offered a raise of up to £20,000. Despite playing regularly for the Red Devils’ first team and scoring goals in the Premier League, he is earning only £7,000 per week.

The United’s young talent exhibited a fascinating role in recent games. His performance in the Manchester derby was praiseworthy. Garnacho came on from the substitution bench in the second. He successfully turned the tide of the game by assisting Marcus Rashford. He played a key role as the Red Devils outclassed City to gain a late 2-1 victory.

Will Garnacho stay at Old Trafford?

United and Garnacho’s representatives have held “positive” talks. But no agreement has been reached and Garnacho is yet to sign fresh terms.

Despite Real Madrid’s interest, Serie A heavyweights Juventus are also keeping an eye on the young Argentine. Garnacho is already a part of Argentina’s senior squad and is expected to shine for the World Cup winners in 2022. Both the clubs are looking for future talents and seem to be interested in the 18-year-old.

Real Madrid has not made an offer for Garnacho, but they are looking to build for the future around promising players. The Manchester United team needs to be wary of that as they seek to retain another academy product long-term.
