A report from Spanish source Fichajes reveals that Real Madrid has expressed interest in Davide Calabria. In the near future, they plan to initiate contact with the 26-year-old player and AC Milan. That is to explore the possibility of a transfer in 2024.

Davide Calabria’s association with AC Milan spans nearly two decades, commencing in 2006 when he became part of the club. This Italian international ascended through the ranks within the Serie A club and marked his debut for the first team at the youthful age of 18 back in 2015. Furthermore, in recent years, he has consistently featured as a key player for the Azzurri.

Davide Calabria, regarded as one of Serie A’s premier right-backs, has held a crucial role at AC Milan for an extended period. Following Alessio Romagnoli’s exit, Calabria assumed the role of club captain. To date, he boasts an impressive track record of 222 appearances for the Rossoneri. Thus, contributing eight goals and providing 18 assists.

Real Madrid keen on acquiring Davide Calabria

Calabria’s remarkable development has garnered widespread recognition. Since, pundits now regard him as one of the premier right-backs on the global stage. Furthermore, several prominent clubs have closely monitored his career progression over the years, with Real Madrid presently contemplating the prospect of acquiring his services. The interest from Real Madrid is driven by the desire of their manager, Carlo Ancelotti.

The ex-AC Milan manager maintains a vigilant watch over his former club. His extensive familiarity with Serie A lends significant weight to his role in fueling Real Madrid’s interest in the 26-year-old. Concurrently, Real Madrid has a strong desire to secure the services of a right-back during the summer transfer window of 2024.

Dani Carvajal has undoubtedly been a stellar performer for Real Madrid. However, at the age of over 30, he finds himself in the twilight of his illustrious career. Consequently, Real Madrid has identified a number of right-backs, including Reece James, as potential candidates. Nonetheless, Calabria remains a viable target, and Los Blancos are poised to explore the possibility of a move in 2024.

The willingness of AC Milan to consider offers for the Italian international remains uncertain. Given that the 26-year-old represents one of their cornerstone players, prying him away from the Serie A club could prove to be a formidable challenge for Real Madrid.
