Robert Lewandowski’s life to be made into an Amazon Documentary

Robert Lewandowski is one of the best footballers in the world at the moment. Now Amazon Prime Video will produce a documentary on the life of the Bayern Munich striker.

The news was first reported by Polish news outlets. The documentary about Lewandowski is will be premiering in 2022 on Amazon Prime.

Lewandowski had another prolific season, where he scored a ridiculous 41 goals in 29 Bundesliga matches, setting a new record. The documentary by Amazon will try to capture such exciting stories of the player.

“It will be a story of ups and downs, moments of strength, but also moments of weakness. No beautification – as it really was.”– told Lewandowski. The 32-year-old is one of the best strikers on the planet. He has scored 294 times for Bayern Munich in all competitions while winning multiple trophies with them including the Champions League.

Lewandowski has also scored 69 times for Poland in his 122 appearances and is the captain of the national side. He also won the 2020 FIFA Best Men’s player and 2020 UEFA Best Player award. This is alongside the multiple individual awards he has won in Germany and Poland.

The star wants to shed a light on his life, while he hopes that non-football fans can also enjoy it.

“The film will present many untold stories from my career that will surely interest football fans. However, I hope that viewers who do not follow the football games will also watch this film with interest. I would like this document to become an inspiration for kids who dream of achieving something great but do not fully believe in themselves.” – added the Polish striker

TECH GIANT EYEING THE FOOTBALL MARKET

The documentary will join a long list of Football documentaries offered by Amazon Prime. All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur, All or Nothing: Manchester City, Take Us Home: Leeds United are some of these titles. Amazon with its documentaries is hoping to get a piece of the wider football audience.

The move is can be a plan by the tech giant to enter into the streaming of live sporting events including Football in the future. Amazon is already in talks with major football associations for securing their online streaming rights. Football is one of the most-watched sport in the world and Amazon are looking to make their mark in it.

Documentary on Lewandowski is set to make its premiere in 2022, though release dates are not declared. Expect Amazon to collaborate with more footballers in the future as they look to dominate the market.
