Inter Milan have received a huge boost in the form of the return of Romelu Lukaku. Manager, Simone Inzaghi will be pleased to have his talisman back from the injury. It is also a huge boost for the Belgium National team ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
However, the star striker will not be thrown to the wolves directly. The Belgian international will be gradually introduced to action by the Manager. Inter Milan will not want the player to aggravate his injury ahead of the World Cup. The tournament can serve as a good opportunity for the player to gain some much-needed minutes and return to form.
Inter Milan will have a very hectic and difficult second half of the season post the World Cup. The club will want their main man to be fully fit and available for the latter half. Belgium will also be eager for the striker to remain fit till the international tournament as they depend on him a lot in terms of goalscoring.
Romelu Lukaku needs to prove his worth in the latter half
The Belgian was sold for a big amount to Chelsea last season by Inter Milan. However, the striker was not able to perform at the expected level for Chelsea. Inter Milan have signed the marksman again this summer on an initial loan deal.
If the Belgian international wants Inter Milan to make his move permanent, then he will have to convince the club of his worth. His utility at Chelsea is in question as his relationship with the owner has also been in testing waters. In order to secure a move away the player needs to consistently play well this season in the second half for Inter Milan.
