About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Sanju Pradhan would be reportedly signing for Bengaluru United from Roundglass Punjab FC. The 31-year-old midfielder is nearing a deal with the I-league 2nd division club after two years at the Northern club.

Pradhan had a good start in 2020-21 with an assist but afterwards, he failed to create an impression. As a result, lack of playing time became one of his concerns at the I-league club.

Whereas, the Bangalorean side is keen on achieving promotion to the higher league and a new challenge awaits for the Sikkim player.

Sanju Pradhan – a veteran whose experience would be crucial for Bengaluru United

Sanju Pradhan joined Punjab FC from ISL heavyweights Mumbai City in 2019. He made 29 appearances for the Islanders with two assists to his name. However, his major contribution was during his stint at East Bengal.

Pradhan made 49 appearances scoring two goals for the Red and Golds. He also featured in the AFC Cup, Federation Cup and other competitions earlier. But, he was not quite a regular during his recent stint at Punjab.

According to Khel Now, the versatile midfielder could be signed by I-league 2nd division club Bengaluru United. They have joined hands with Spanish giants Sevilla this year and would be keen on getting promoted to the I-league.

He also been part of many title winning team journeys especially ATK’s title triumph in the inaugral season of Hero ISL. But, for Northeast United, he had a more productive season with three assists in 11 games in 2015.

Bengaluru United were founded in 2018 and are improving impressively. Additionally, they managed a 2nd-place finish in the 2019-20 I-League 2nd division. In the last season, they finished as champions of Bangalore Super Division league. Will Pradhan be the signing they would be looking for?
