Sergio Ramos to recover from injury in second leg against Chelsea

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Sergio Ramos might be seen back from injury but only for the second leg of semi-final against Chelsea. Thus, the Real Madrid skipper would be aiming for complete fitness for May 5.

Los Blancos have a big task ahead in the form of Chelsea challenging them for this year’s Champions League final. It has been a rollercoaster season for Zinedine Zidane, who expects them to win 14th UEFA Champions League.

However, Eden Hazard and Toni Kroos are some of the players that might boost their confidence to play against the Blues. Ramos has been a key player for them in most occasions and his performance in the second leg would be crucial.

All eyes would be on injury-hit Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos had been coping up with a calf injury and then he was also tested COVID positive. Thus, it would be really a big test for the skipper to feature in one of the rarest fixtures in the history of football.

Real Madrid badly need their skipper as they recently dropped points in La Liga. Because of this, a four-way title race is on as Sevilla now joins the race for the title. But, their performances has been impressive in the competition where they are considered as the most successful club.

The 35-year-old played an important role in their 3-1 win over Atalanta in the Round of 16. Now, he might have to reciprocate that form in the second leg against the Premier League side.

According to AS, there is another possibility that he could feature in the La Liga fixture against Osasuna before the crucial semifinal second leg. However, Zidane would include him in the starting eleven only if he is 100% fit. He is also rumored to leave the club at the end of the current season.
