The 20-year-old Sourav K of Kerala is now on a contract for three years with Gokulam FC.

Sourav hails from the city of Kannur of Kerala. Already joining the team in the preseason for the practices. Where is fell under the eyes of the boss Vincenzo Alberto Annese.

Beginning his football career at the KV Soccer Academy which is in his home town Kannur. Hence at the mere age of 15, his journey to rising and shine begins. Enrolling himself in SN College of Kannur. Subsequently, he did represent Kannur University in the championship tournament of all India inter-university tournament. Following his noteworthy performances, he gets a call to represent the Kerala team in the Santosh Trophy. Later Covid-19 led to the termination of the tournament.

Sourav prefers to play in the left flanks. His arsenal includes the vision of getting assists, dribbling past defenders to be a threat in the box as well as speed to run past defenders.

The transfer market is witness to Gokulam Kerala making some really good signings. In the closing days, they were able to sign players like the former skipper of Chennai City Charles Lourdusamy The I-League title defenders were able to come to an agreement with Pawan Kumar, Deepak Devrani, Rakshit Dagar, Naocha Singh, Akbar Khan, CK Ubaid, Deepak Singh and many more. Also bagging the defender from Cameroon named Aminou Bouba who will be a substitute of Mohamed Awal.

After signing for Gokulam Kerala Sourav says that evidently, this is a very big chance to prove himself. Adding to this he thanks the club who have put their faith in him to play as a professional. He also looks forward with enthusiasm not to let the club officials and their decision down.

Gokulam Kerala FC’s president VC Praveen says that Sourav is a very talented player and the club wants to promote such young players.
