Sportiello arrival in Milan are only ready to spend €1m to hasten

An early move, as had been anticipated, doesn’t appear possible at this time despite AC Milan already having a deal with Marco Sportiello for the summer. Atlanta is actually being aggressive on that front.

Milan and Sportiello have agreed on a deal for the summer that will replace Sportiello’s contract, which expires at the end of the current campaign. Although it has been suggest that Mike Maignan’s arrival be sped up in light of his injury, this doesn’t appear realistic.

Sportiello needs to go this month, but Atalanta needs to find a replacement, and Milan will only pay €1 million, according to Gazzetta Dello port (via MilanNews). Sportiello won’t arrive until the summer since the Bergamo side isn’t persuaded by this.

Since Antonio Mirante and Ciprian Tatarusanu are both anticipated to depart Milan in the summer, the Rossoneri have signed 24-year-old Devis Vasquez. The latter’s potential playing time this season is still up in the air.

What did Sportiello say about the player?

Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that. Milan are only willing to pay €1m to accelerate the arrival of goalkeeper Marco Sportiello. The 29-year-old is currently on loan at Atalanta from Fiorentina. But Milan are looking to bring him in as a backup option to Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Sportiello has proven to be a reliable performer for Atalanta this season, making 22 appearances in all competitions. He has also previously played for clubs such as Fiorentina, Inter Milan, and Udinese.

However, it seems that Milan are not willing to pay a high price for Sportiello’s services. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri are only willing to offer €1m to accelerate his arrival. This is a relatively low fee, especially considering the current market values of goalkeepers.

It remains to be whether Fiorentina and Atalanta will agree to this offer. It is possible that they may hold out for a higher fee. Or that they may prefer to keep Sportiello on loan until the end of the season.
