Subhasish Bose feels that ATK Mohun Bagan can go all the way

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Subhasish Bose was a part of the Mohun Bagan side just went all the way into the finals last season. Mohun Bagan took a huge step in moving to Indian Super League from the I-League last season. Their efforts sent them into the AFC Inter-Zonal Cup. They face Uzbek side, FC Naser, for their semi-final clash on the 22nd of September.

Subhasis Bose previously played for Mohun Bagan in 2016 back when they played in the I-League. He made his debut into the ISL after joined Bangalore FC in 2017. He quickly became a key player of Albert Roca’s robust squad that steamrolled the entire league only to lose in the finals.

His performances bore fruit when he got his first international call-up in 2017. A was a part of Mumbai City FC’s squad for 2 years after that before returning to Mohun Bagan in 2020 on a 5-year deal. A left-back who can be deployed at centre-back and left-mid, Bose does not mess around much. Ahead of Thursday’s clash, Bose is confident with the teams’ preparation and is pumped up to face his opponents.

Subhasish Bose knows that ATK are well prepared

Coach Antonio Habas has played with three defenders and sometimes four across last season. Bose says that Habas has organised his defence pretty well and they are raring to go against the strong Uzbek side. Bose has worked on his wing-play and tried out a couple of varieties over the last few days. The coaching staff have zeroed down on the strengths and weaknesses of the opponents, preparing the players for a near-perfect game.

Bose is not new to the AFC Cup but has never won it. He dreams of securing the crown one day and feels that the current ATK Mohun Bagan squad can go all the way. With an influential coach like Antonio Habas and players like Roy Krishna this just might be the special squad.
