Thierry henry Talks about Martin Odegaard for Arsenal

Martin Odegaard - Arsenal

Thierry Henry says Martin Odegaard hasn’t been performing to his best standards this season following Arsenal’s 6-0 thrashing of RC Lens in the Champions League.

Thierry Henry Talks out

The legendary player for Arsenal was overjoyed to see Martin Odegaard get a goal since he believed he needed that opportunity.
The midfielder for Arsenal scored 15 goals and provided eight assists in the previous campaign; this season, he has only contributed four Premier League goals from 10 games.

Because of this, Thierry Henry is hopeful that last night’s goal would be “good for him.” He stated to CBS Sports on Paramount+ (29/11/23 at 10:15 pm) that he believes Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka are the “heart of the team.”

Odegaard Expectations

The stop-start wouldn’t have helped things, since the Norway international did miss a couple games before to the international break due to a concussion.

Furthermore, he is currently dealing with higher expectations that arise from setting the bar so high.

In any case, when Mikel Arteta’s team secured their spot in the round of sixteen last night, Thierry Henry was eager to discuss Martin Odegaard’s predicament.

Henry remarked, “I’m thinking about Odegaard.” “We must get him back on the right path.

“I’m not saying he hasn’t performed well. He hasn’t reached the level of where he was, in my opinion. I’m hoping that he will achieve his aim tonight.

Arsenal Needs

“It is evident in the festivities. A “wow, I have been waiting” moment occurs. We really need him, therefore I believe it’s imperative that he be able to benefit us. He, together with Bukayo Saka, is the team’s leader.
Even though Arsenal is leading the Premier League and easily making it to the Champions League knockout rounds, it seems like they haven’t quite reached their peak yet.

And with good reason.

Although they lost the match in France, it could be claimed that their victory over RC Lens last night was one of their greatest performances thus far. Thierry Henry also offered his opinions on Gabriel Jesus’ performance.

Make no bones about it, Arsenal well and truly thrashed the Ligue 1 side. They had only conceded one goal in their last five matches.

But inside the first half, they completely battered Lens to continue their march towards some silverware this season.
