Tony Docherty gives details on Liverpool Interest on Owen Beck

Sir Martin

The Dundee manager, Tony Docherty, has disclosed that negotiations over Owen Beck’s future are in progress with Liverpool.

Owen Beck Season

The left-back has been playing brilliantly in the Scottish Premiership thus far this season, and his strong play has even earned him a spot in the starting lineup for Wales. However, there has been conjecture that the 21-year-old would be called up owing to injuries sustained at Anfield.

After a collision with Spain goalkeeper Unai Simon during the international break, Andy Robertson dislocated his shoulder and is recuperating from surgery. On the other hand, Kostas Tsimikas appeared to have broken his collarbone during Saturday’s draw against Arsenal.

Currently ranked seventh in the Scottish Premiership, Docherty expressed his hope that Beck wouldn’t be returning to Anfield next month in an interview with the Daily Record prior to the Greece international suffering his injury.

“We are still in talks right now,” he stated. For these young players, it’s a crucial time, much like Mal (Boateng). They are receiving football on a regular basis.

Additionally, they are developing, participating in a prominent league, and gaining visibility. They are competing at top-tier stadiums against top-tier clubs.Additionally, the squad is getting visibility on television, which is a huge boost. Every one of them is doing well. They have excellent links with each of their parent clubs.

Tony Docherty Talks

“We constantly consult with them to ensure that we are providing their players with the best care possible.”While it’s Tuesday or Saturday in England, there’s more time to train and develop them up here.

“We have been working on Owen’s physical development at the gym. It’s an additional consideration, and to draw in players at this calibre, you must truly put out all the effort.

They would not have sent them up if they didn’t. Dundee FC has found success thus far, and we are quite pleased with that. We take it seriously and don’t take it lightly.

“You must ensure that you are dedicated to the parent club and fulfil your commitments.” We hope to have been doing that, and you can observe the players’ growth. While it is advantageous to us, the parent club must also gain from it.
