Tottenham Hotspur is looking for a new forward and Inter’s Lautaro Martinez is on their wishlist. The Argentine forward could be on the move this summer. Inter Milan has set the asking price of more than €80 million for the forward. He could rejoin his former boss Antonio Conte at Spurs if he decides to leave Inter.
Can Martinez move to Spurs?
Spurs could play in the Champions League next season and are confident of securing their place. Antonio Conte will be provided with more funds next season to bolster his squad for the Champion’s League. Moreover, Lautaro is an ideal fit for his System. Conte has led Inter Milan to the Serie A title already knows the importance of players like Lautaro. He played a crucial part in Inter’s title success along with Belgian Romelu Lukaku.
Moreover, Lautaro is a playmaker and will create more chances for Spurs. He along with Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, and new signing Dejan Kulusevski could form a deadly set of attackers. Spurs were also linked with Dusan Vlahovic in January, but he decided to move to Juventus.
Lautaro, who could be available for €80 million next season can also be an ideal replacement for Harry Kane. Manchester City still has an interest in the England captain after a transfer saga last summer. Moreover, Lautaro could easily fill the void if Kane decides to leave and would be the ideal replacement for him.
Arsenal is also interested in the forward in addition to the Spurs. Having lost Aubameyang to Barcelona in January, Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta is seeking a replacement. It will be a great battle between the two Arch-rivals to sign the Argentine forward. He could prefer a move to a team playing in the Champions League next season.
