Vinicius Jr. has stepped up in the absence of Karim Benzema for Real Madrid

Brazilian wonderkid

Karim Benzema has missed the last few games due to an injury sustained against Celtic in the UEFA Champions League. The French international has been training hard to return to full fitness. However, in his absence, Vinicius Jr. really stepped up his game to ensure the Los Blancos kept winning.

Vinicius Jr. has really come into his own in the past couple of seasons and performed exceedingly for Real Madrid. The Los Blancos brought him to Spain as a future prospect and long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo. The club hoped to replace the Portuguese with Eden Hazard in the short term before Vinicius Jr. can be integrated.

However, Eden Hazard failed to perform as per expectations and has also struggled with injuries. But the club has been extremely fortunate to have found the Brazilian winger. The young forward has settled in at the Santiago Bernabeu quickly and impressed everyone around.

Carlo Ancelotti has taken Vinicius Jr. to another level

The Brazilian winger played well under Zinedine Zidane in the 2019/20 season but was not a regular starter. However, since the arrival of Don Carlo, Vinicius Jr. has been a crucial part of the first team and shined in the left wing role. The Italian tactician has brought the best out of the dynamic winger since last season.

The improved performances have also earned him a regular playing spot with the Brazil National team. Coach, Tite has been impressed with his performances and employed him in the same left-wing role. Neymar has adapted to a different role under Tite recently to accommodate the emergence of Vinicius Jr.

The Brazilian will want to continue the string of top performances to ensure that he books a flight to Qatar. He will be keen to play at the FIFA World Cup for Brazil and help win the cup after 20 years. Hopefully, the young forward will blossom into one of the world’s best forwards very soon and continue to entertain us with his flair!!
