I-League side Sreenidi Deccan FC signs Ibhrahim Sissoko for the upcoming 2023–24 I-League season. Ibhrahim Sissoko, the experienced Ivory Coast midfielder, joins Sreenidi Deccan as their fifth foreigner for the upcoming I-League season.
Ibhrahim Sissoko will strengthen the Sreenidi Deccan FC squad in three possible ways:
- Creativity and Goal Scoring Options: Ibhrahim Sissoko, the left-footed creative playmaker, has played a total of 219 matches in his career, in which he scored 16 goals and provided 34 assists. His technique, quick forward passes, smart vision, positioning, and excellent shooting ability are going to be very useful for Sreenidi Deccan.
- Experience: Ibhrahim Sissoko has represented the Ivory Coast in the Toulon U20 tournament and also played against Colombia, Italy, and Portugal in 2011. He also played for Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg, Greek giants Panathinaikos, and Portuguese side Academica. His experience of playing in European football is going to be an asset for Sreenidi Deccan in the upcoming I-League campaign.
- Versatility: The 31-year-old footballer basically plays as an attacking midfielder. Beside playing as a midfielder, Ibhrahim Sissoko can also operate on both wings with the same efficiency.
Srenidhi Deccan is eyeing clinching the I-League title:
Sreenidi Deccan FC showcased a commendable performance in the last I-League season. The I-League runners-up finished 10 points behind the champions, Punjab FC. To fulfill their elusive dream, Sreenidi Deccan is gearing up for the upcoming season.
Sreenidi Deccan has retained their Portuguese head coach, Carlos Vaz Pinto, and also extended the contract of captain Faysal Shayesteh. They have also signed ISL-experienced defender Eli Sabia.
Besides Eli Sabia, Sreenidi Deccan has also completed the signing of Gurmukh Singh. Gurmukh’s versatility and defensive skills will help Sreenidi Deccan in the long run.
The I-League club has also secured the signings of Brazilian forward William and experienced midfielder Kean Lewis. They have also signed Lalnuntluanga, Subhankar Adhikari, and Pawan Kumar. With these new signings, Sreenidi Deccan FC is expected to display a dominating performance, which will lead them to their dream of winning the I-League.
