The Spanish Maestro Xabi Alonso is tipped to become the manager of Borussia Monchengladbach as per reports. Many clubs have shown interest in him, but Monchengladbach is the only club that has shown serious interest.
Xabi Alonso is a player who has been decorated immensely. He had a successful career at 3 of the greatest clubs, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich. At these clubs, he was managed by the best in the business.
Monchengladbach’s coach, Marco Rose is set to leave the club to join Borussia Dortmund as the new head coach after Lucien Favre was sacked by the club.
Borussia Monchengladbach had a fine season last year after landing a spot in the top 4 of the Bundesliga. They are currently 10th in the league. They were completely outplayed by Manchester City in the Champions League which saw them bow out in the round of 16.

The Spaniard joined Bayern Munich when he was 33 years old. He had signed a 2-year contract which further got extended by 2 more. Earlier this week, the reports suggested that Xabi Alonso would be taking over Monchengladbach in the coming season. But in the latest turn of events, reports from Germany suggest that he is not going to be their manager.
It is said that the club has made contact with the player, but no final deal has been struck. This means that Borussia Monchengladbach will be looking for other managers in the meantime.
