Copenhagen star Roony Bardghji believes he is ‘ready’ to make a big move this month, amid interest from Chelsea. The 18-year-old forward is regarded as one of Europe’s brightest prospects. He burst onto the scene with a goal against Manchester United in the Champions League earlier this season.
The youngster appears to have already green-lighted a move to Chelsea this month. He revealed on Ekstrabladet that he is open to moving to a top club over the coming weeks.
Chelsea need a forward; not necessarily Bardghji
Pochettino desperately needs to bolster his forward options this month. Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Middlesbrough on Tuesday night only highlighting further his need for reinforcements. Despite their £1 billion spending spree over the past few transfer windows, the Blues looked drained of star quality and creativity in the final third.
Chelsea are in the market for at least one forward this month. They are being linked with several players and Roony Bardghji is one of them. The teenage sensation predominantly operates on the right wing but can also play as a striker. He is capable of holding down the fort for the Blues up top until they are able to bring in a marquee No.9, such as Victor Osimhen, in the summer transfer window.
“I feel ready”, says the youngster
Asked whether a January move would be premature compared to a summer transfer, Bardghji said: “I feel ready, but when it will be, whether it is now or later, I don’t know. Right now, I’m focusing on getting in top shape and playing football. Then we have to see what happens.
It’s always great to hear about something like this because it means you’re doing well. But I try not to think about it too much. It is special, but it’s not something that stresses me out. I just take the positive in it and see it as motivation. This means I have to continue as I am doing and, of course, try to do it even better.”
Apart from Chelsea, Barcelona are also interested in signing the young Swedish sensation, Roony Bardghji.
