Aguero making progress to make his debut for Barcelona

Sergio Aguero is reportedly making good progress from his injury and could be ready to feature for Barcelona on El Clásico as per the report in Mundo Deportivo Deportivo(via SportsMole).

The Argentine made his move from Manchester City to Barcelona last summer for free after spending a decade with the Citizens. The 33-year-old had struggled with injuries over the past few campaigns at the Etihad Stadium and the story remained the same following the move to the Catalan giants.

According to the report, Aguero has made significant improvements from his injury over the past few months and is getting closer to making his first appearance for the Blaugrana

Initially, it was thought that the Argentina international would take until November to get back to full fitness. But, now it seems the 33-year-old could be ready to feature against the arch-rival Real Madrid on October 24.

Aguero could be ready to make his debut for Barcelona against Real Madrid:

Following the departure of Luis Suárez from the club. Ronald Koeman’s side is struggling to find an apt replacement for the Uruguayan centre forward. The Dutch coach has brought fellow countryman Luke De Jong to fill that void. But the former Sevilla man has not been able to live up to the expectations at Camp Nou.

Sergio Aguero could be a perfect replacement and could solve the striker problem for Barcelona. However, keeping the Argentine forward’s recent injury record in mind, he might not be the answer for Koeman.

Meanwhile, following the departure of Lionel Messi, the Catalan giants have struggled so far this season. They have already suffered two heavy defeats in the Champions League against Bayern Munich and Benfica. And also lost nine points in the opening seven games of the league season, sitting ninth in the table.
