Sergio Aguero has opened his account for Barcelona after scoring a late consolation against Real Madrid in a 2-1 defeat at Camp Nou.
The Blaugrana started the game on a higher note and looked more comfortable in possession. However, the story of the game changed completely after an awful miss by Sergino Dest whose rushed shot went way over the bar in a one-on-one situation.
Los Blancos took the lead on the 32nd-minute mark after a blistering counter-attack which was finished off brilliantly by centre-back David Alaba.
Barcelona started the second half brightly but failed to score an equaliser. Real Madrid doubled the margin late into the stoppage time. After Marco Asensio’s shot fell nicely onto Lucas Vasquez who made no mistake to score.
In the end, Los Blancos’ clean sheet was spoiled by new signing Sergio Aguero. After Dest’s cross was nicely volleyed away by the Argentine forward.
Aguero scores his first goal for Barcelona:
After enduring injuries over the last few months, Sergio Aguero made his first appearance for Barcelona last weekend against Valencia. However, following a return from a long injury layoff. The forward didn’t have to wait long before opening his account for the Blaugrana.
There was a doubt about his future with the Catalan giants, following the departure of Lionel Messi. However, the forward remained at the club. And he is now showing promises of becoming a centre-forward that Ronald Koeman is searching for since allowing Luiz Suárez to leave in the last summer.
Meanwhile, following a defeat on Sunday, Barcelona is currently sitting ninth in the table with 15 points in nine games. The Blaugrana are currently six points behind the league leader Real Sociedad who have played one extra game than Ronald Koeman’s side.
