Marcelo Brozovic is being rumoured with a move away from Inter, with Al-Nassr and Barcelona both reportedly interested. However Barcelona will soon accept defeat in their efforts for Marcelo Brozovic, the 30-year-old Inter Milan midfield maestro. Marcelo Brozovic will not join Barcelona during the summer transfer window, according to Spanish writer Adrian Sanchez. The 30-year-old Inter Milan midfielder is on the verge of going to Saudi Arabia. And the Catalan giants will likely concede defeat in their pursuit of the experienced midfielder.

Barcelona on the verge to concede defeat in their pursuit of Inter Milan midfielder

Over the last half-decade or so, Marcelo Brozovic has emerged as one of the top midfielders in the world. Until joining Inter Milan, the Croat was an unremarkable character in his professional career. He also did not light up the stage soon after moving to San Siro. But he’s come a long way in the last several seasons.
The 30-year-old has played a key role in Inter’s recent success. And he has contributed to several titles while appearing 330 times for the Nerazzurri. However, Brozovic’s time at Inter Milan will most likely come to an end during the summer transfer window. Barcelona was hoping to capture his extraordinary abilities before the 2023/24 season. But they are certain to lose the race with Saudi Arabian giants Al-Nassr offer a very lucrative contract.

In a Bosman move, Barcelona will begin their summer transfer season by signing Ilkay Gundogan. However, the Blaugrana may need to sign two midfielders before the 2023/24 season. While Gundogan will essentially replace Sergio Busquets, it is worth mentioning that Franck Kessie’s future at Spotify Camp Nou is unresolved.

Brozovic could be heading for joining Al Nassr this summer

Brozovic might be the ideal choice to bolster Barcelona’s midfield during the summer transfer window. According to recent rumours, the 30-year-old midfield juggernaut is also keen to join Barcelona. However, Adrian Sanchez has claimed that the Catalan giants are willing to admit defeat in their pursuit of him. Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia are ahead of Barca in the race for signing Croatian international. And he is apparently close to moving out to the Middle East rather than joining Barcelona this summer.

As a result, the freshly crowned La Liga winners will accept loss in their quest for signing Brozovic before exploring new options. Barcelona are eyeing several midfielders, notably Dani Parejo as per recent rumours. And it will be fascinating to watch who becomes Barcelona’s primary midfield target after missing their chance to sign Brozovic.
