Arata Izumi becomes the assistant coach of the new entity, Inter Kashi:

Inter Kashi, the first professional football club from Uttar Pradesh, is currently playing in the I-League. Inter Kashi has appointed Arata Izumi as their assistant coach. Arata Izumi will assist head coach Carlos Santamarina for the upcoming 2023–24 season.

Moreover, the 41-year-old Japan-born former Indian footballer brings his vast experience to Inter Kashi’s coaching group. Arata Izumi, a very well-known name in Indian Football, also signed a contract with Inter Kashi to be their assistant coach.

Playing Career: Arata Izumi:

Arata Izumi has had a long-playing career. He also played professional football in Japan, Singapore, and India. In 2006, Izumi signed for East Bengal from Mits. Mizushima.

Later, he played for Mahindra United, Pune FC, Atletico de Kolkata, Mumbai FC, Pune City, and Kerela Blasters. Especially, he was known for his excellent playmaking skills and ability to play in different positions on the field.

After giving up his Japanese citizenship, Izumi represented the Indian National Team from 2013 to 2014. He also played nine games for the Indian National Team.

Managerial Career: Arata Izumi:

Following his retirement, Arata Izumi focused on coaching. He worked with the Reliance Foundation Young Champs and also managed their U-13, U-17, and U-18 teams.

Now, the Indian International has joined Inter Kashi and also starts preparation for a successful debut season in the I-League.

On joining Inter Kashi, an excited Arata Izumi also said,

“Absolutely delighted to announce about my new beginning with this fantastic ambitious club, Inter Kashi. Huge appreciation for the club to trust my ability and giving me this opportunity. My 100% commitment to achieve the objective of the club.”

Inter Kashi will debut in the I-League this season:

Ahead of the 2023–24 I-League, AIFF has accepted five corporate bids. Inter Kashi is among the new entrants to the I-League. The Uttar Pradesh-based club will play in the I-League for the very first time this season.
