Araujo expected to return from injury ahead of Elche clash

Araujo

That’s great news for Barcelona fans! Ronald Araujo has been an important player for the team this season. His return from injury will be a big boost for them ahead of their upcoming matches. This will come as a huge relief for Barcelona, as Araujo has been one of their best performers this season, establishing himself as a regular in the heart of their defence.

During the 2-1 El Clasico win over Real Madrid last weekend, Ronald Araujo suffered an injury to his left adductor. As a result of the injury, Araujo had to pull out of the Uruguayan national team squad for their friendly matches against Japan and South Korea.

According to Javi Miguel of AS, Araujo’s recovery is progressing positively. He may receive medical clearance next Friday. This means he could be available for Barcelona’s La Liga match against Elche.

Relief for Barcelona as Araujo set to return

The positive news on Araujo’s recovery is a relief for Barcelona. As they recently suffered a setback with Andreas Christensen’s injury while on international duty. The Danish defender is expected to be out for three to four weeks. This means he will miss several matches in April, including the game against Elche.

Indeed, having Araujo back in the lineup would be a significant boost for Barcelona, especially given his impressive performances this season. The Uruguayan has established himself as a key figure in Xavi’s defensive setup. Hence, his absence would have been a major blow for the Catalan side. With Araujo set to return, Barcelona will be hoping to secure a much-needed victory against Elche. Since they look to keep their slim title hopes alive.

Barcelona may field a defense of Sergi Roberto, Araujo, Eric Garcia, and Jordi Alba against Elche. Due to Christensen’s injury and Balde and Kounde’s international duty. Alonso could also be an option at centre-back or left-back.
