MLS and Barcelona have been widely discussed as potential destinations for Lionel Messi. The most successful period of Lionel Messi’s career with Argentina is presently  underway. He has continued to thrive in Lionel Scaloni’s team after leading the Albiceleste to the World Cup last year. During the most recent international break,in just two games, he scored four goals and provided two assists.

Scaloni wishes Messi ‘s happiness

Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni has offered transfer advice to Lionel Messi, who is  widely expected to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer.  The World Cup winner joined PSG when Barcelona’s financial troubles  prevented them from keeping him on. However, his two-year deal is about to expire. Inter Miami of the Major League Soccer is another team that has a lot of admiration for Messi.  They are reportedly prepared to make an offer to bring him to the United States.

Speaking of his decision to potentially leave PSG this summer, Argentina coach Scaloni commented:

“I’m not in his head, I don’t know what he’s thinking, I don’t know what he’s going to do. What I want is for him to play, to be on the pitch, to be happy. I would like him to continue playing. The 102 goals, I hope there are more. It deserves all the recognition. It’s good that it was on Argentine soil and that also has a special value.”

Barcelona president Joan Laporta speaks out about Lionel Messi’s possible return from PSG.

The Blaugrana president has left the door open for the seventime Ballon d’Or winner to  return to Camp Nou, while also addressing rumours linking the two parties to a resounding  reunion during the summer transfer window.

“Leo knows we have him in our hearts”

“He is part of our shield. The legacy I found myself in when I became president was not good and I had to make a decision that I’m not satisfied with. I have to find a way to improve Messi’s current relationship with Barca. We’ll see, but he knows that the doors of Barca are open”

A significant update comes from Argentine journalist Gaston Edul, who says Lionel Messi is awaiting a summer approach from Barcelona.

Morever,The journalist claims that the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner is awaiting Barcelona.

But, he won’t turn down PSG right away because PSG is anticipated to make a second offer.
The Blaugrana’s ability to get Messi in the summer, despite their Financial Fair Play difficulties, will therefore likely determine everything.
Before the summer, the Catalans must drastically cut their payroll by €200 million. Barca simultaneously generating new cash in order to effectively sign and register players.

MLS teams are discussing a plan to sign the Argentine star in which 29 teams would pay for his salary.

Although many potential destinations, like Barcelona and the Middle East, have been suggested  for the legendary player, American interest has not diminished. Inter Miami, which is coowned  by David Beckham, has made it clear that they would like  to bring Messi to Florida, with coach Phil Neville declaring:-

“I’m not going to deny [it and say] there isn’t truth in the speculation that we’re interested in Lionel Messi. We want to bring the best players in the world to this football club. Messi and [Sergio] Busquets are the two that stand out more in recent years. They’re great players who would still be a massive benefit to this organisation. For MLS, it would be a game-changer.”
