Diaz is their 3rd foreign signing of this season along with Adrian Luna and Enes Sipovic. As we all know the Blasters are trying to upgrade their arsenal of foreign players as well as domestic players.
The Blasters were in desperate need of a marksman who can play the role of fox in the box. Jorge can full fill the vacancy quite well and according to the sources, Blasters will make it official anytime now. “The player has agreed terms. The formalities that lies under will be completed in the next few days” unknown sources have claimed.
Glimpse of Jorge’s career before signing for Kerala Blasters
When it comes to experience Jorge is blessed in that criteria, having played in more than 140 matches for 8 clubs. He sure has a lot to offer, he has also been a part of over 40 goals.
Jorge started his career with Ferro Carril which is a Primera Division team where he played almost 85 matches and scored 15 goals for them. After playing there for almost 5 years hi moved to Atletico Lanus in 2013. After 1 year he moved to the Malaysia Super League team Johor Takzim in 2014. He finished the league with 15 goals in 29 matches which was an outstanding performance.
But soon he was loaned out to Independiente in 2015, after spending 4 months of his loan spell there he made his return to Johor Takzim in 2016 where he also made his debut in the AFC Champions League against Muangthong United. Unfortunately ended in a 3-0 defeat, where Diaz missed the first penalty of the shootout.
He also made his 2016 Malaysia Super League debut against Selangor FA which ended in a 1-1 draw. Where they lifted the Sultan haji Ahmad Cup for the third time. Then in 2018, he joined Lanus and kept on changing teams every year. Jorge is currently playing for Platense, he has made 11 appearances for them and has scored 2 goals.
