AS Monaco midfield sensation Aurelien Tchouameni is on the verge of joining the 14-time UCL champions Real Madrid. The 21-year-old French international is valued at €80m plus add-ons as per RMC Sport.
Interest from Many Top Clubs: Aurelien Tchouameni
As early as 2019, Wolves wanted to sign Tchouameni from french club Bordeaux at the tender age of 19. He didn’t hit top form at the club, the youngster showed glimpses of his potential which slowly attracted interest.
Tchouameni stole the show in 2020 for Monaco and ended the season with the Young Player of the Year award. His 21/22 season has arguably been his best season though. This led to his inclusion in the senior French National Team for the first time.
In January, The Athletic reported that Liverpool and Manchester United were set to go head to head for him. Real Madrid formalized their interest a few weeks ago and are progressing in talks to sign Tchouameni. They already have a verbal agreement on the contract with his camp.

Aurelien Tchouameni is a tall athletic defensive midfielder, who can play either as a 6 or 8.
He loves a duel and is a combative, aggressive ball winner in the centre of the park. He has a special ability to switch the play and play line-breaking passes from deep inside his own half. His telescopic legs combined with insane speed for a tall lad helps him complete many interceptions per game.
Tchouameni has hailed Paul Pogba as one of his ‘role models’ and players who he looked up to growing up. He now partners Pogba in that midfield and has already impressed the World Cup Winner with his performances.
“He’s not a boy, he’s a man,” admitted Pogba . “It’s a pleasure to play next to him, he provides a lot… plenty of energy, technical quality and extraordinary physicality. I hope to play plenty of games together and always be on his side.”
Real Madrid Move: Long Term Plan and Dreams
As per multiple reports, Real Madrid have made it their priority to sign Tchouameni. He is set to be paired with Eduardo Camavinga who has already spoken highly regarding his countryman’s transfer:
Real Madrid have a verbal agreement with the player camp. They have offered €80m plus add-ons to secure his signing, with PSG lurking around. He is set to join the Spanish giants by the end of this week as per multiple reports. Along with Camavinga and Valverde, Real Madrid have somehow managed to find capable replacements.
