Barcelona all set to sell Ferran Torres this summer

Pedri praised his Barcelona teammate Ferran Torres for his match-winning goal in their 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid. Despite scoring the winning goal against Atletico Madrid, Ferran Torres doesn’t seem to have a future at Barcelona. The player has been the subject of much discussion since his arrival at the club. This is largely due to the high fee of €55 million paid for his services.

It should be noted that Torres has failed to justify his price tag. Having only scored four goals in La Liga this season. Consequently, Barcelona are reportedly willing to sell him in the upcoming transfer window.

Javi Miguel reports that Barcelona are willing to sell Ferran Torres for a transfer fee of approximately €25 million. The club appears to understand that they will not be able to recover the €55 million that they spent on the player. They are ready to accept a financial loss.

What is Barcelona planning in order to sell Ferran Torres?

Barcelona reportedly understand that asking for more than €25 million for Ferran Torres would be unrealistic. However, if the attacker continues to score goals in important matches like he did against Atletico Madrid, his price may increase.

It remains to be seen where Ferran Torres will end up. But Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan are among the clubs linked with a move for him. With eight games still to be played this season, he has a chance to increase his value heading into the summer transfer window. Although Barcelona have set a price tag of around €25 million for him. Despite his struggles to live up to his hefty price tag, his recent goal against Atletico Madrid may have increased his appeal to potential suitors.

The sale of Ferran Torres could provide Barcelona with some financial relief. As they continue to navigate their ongoing financial troubles. The club has been looking to reduce their wage bill and generate revenue through player sales. Hence, offloading Torres could help them achieve both of these goals. The money raised from the sale could then be reinvested in new players to strengthen the squad for the upcoming season.
