Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain want to sign Caio Henrique

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain both want to sign Monaco defender Caio Henrique. The summer Mercato promises to offer some great news. 

Caio Henrique has been playing as a midfielder with Monaco since 2020. He had been transferred from Atletico Madrid for €8 million. He has really found his place in the team and has impressed in the 2020-2021 season. The young player made 32 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 club. 

The Brazilian is under contract until June 2025 with the Monegasques. As is often the case, the club of Monaco is a seller. In case of receiving a good offer, the club does not intend to oppose the leaving of Caio Henrique.

Barcelona and PSG in competition for Caio Henrique : 

Very recently, both Barcelona and PSG are in contact with the club of Monaco about the transfer of Caio Henrique. The defender will certainly be a target on the Mercato lists this summer. Nothing has been signed yet and no official meeting has taken place. The two clubs have nevertheless requested the information file for the Monegasque player. Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona both wanted to know the availability and statics of Caio Henrique. 

Monaco would be interested in the transfer of his player from an offer of about €25 million (£21.7 million). This sum would be very advantageous for Monaco who had bought the player €8 million last summer. 

Barcelona and PSG will probably look to recruit in this position this summer, so the possibility of concretization is very high. Moreover, a player in this position will have to combine with Neymar or Kylian Mbappé, the two offensive references of the Parisian team. So, the sporting director of the capital club has set out to find a new understudy to Bernat for next season. Caio Henrique has participated in 32 games, all competitions, this season. He has provided 5 assists.
