As part of their ambitions to lower the salary wages in the squad, Barcelona is seeking to ensure the exit of their key players this summer. Reportedly, Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, and Franck Kessie are certainly leaving Camp Nou ahead of the new season. HoweverThere are some players who Barcelona believe untouchable. Andreas Christensen is one of them. Following his impressive debut season at Camp Nou, the former Chelsea defender has attracted the interest of a number of clubs around Europe.

Barcelona considers Andreas Christensen as ‘untouchable’

During his first season at the club, Christensen has forged a powerful defensive partnership with Ronald Araujo. He took up responsibility from the low zone, became a leader in the team’s dressing room. In addition, acted as one of the team’s silent heroes throughout the course. The Danish knew how to relieve pressure to a level where he became one of Xavi Hernández’s most used players in the 2022-2023 season. His performances aren’t going unnoticed, with big European clubs putting pressure on Barcelona to sell him this summer. According to Mundo Deportivo, even Christensen does not want to leave Barcelona. He has achieved exceptional success at Camp Nou. Hence Barca is unwilling to sell him for a move elsewhere.

A time when they are the middle of an economic crisis that has compelled them to explore offers for its key players. Barcelona considers Christensen to be one of the untouchables and will not consider offers for the Danish international. Instead than selling Christensen, Barcelona is searching for other ways to bring in fresh revenue.

As previously stated, the sale of Fati might be one, albeit the young winger, despite the best efforts of his agent Jorge Mendes, is not keen on leaving the club. Other candidates are Ferran Torres and Kessie, however Barcelona will also rely on the sales of returning stars such as Clement Lenglet and Samuel Umtiti, among others.
